Interfaith Housing Alliance
The Interfaith Housing Alliance is Mosaic Power’s oldest customer with a connection that dates back to the Fall of 2013.
Interfaith Housing is a Frederick, Maryland based non-profit organization that focuses on providing affordable housing to seniors, working families, and individuals. As such, Interfaith is always looking for ways to enhance their housing without impacting tenants.
Interfaith Housing joined our Water Heater Efficiency Network (WHEN) in September and 2013 by inviting Mosaic to connect a 4-unit property in Central Maryland and a two properties in Western Maryland totaling 54 units.. In fact, the tenants of the Western Maryland property applauded the completion of Mosaic’s installation as the property sits within sight of a large wind farm that sells power too expensive for tenants to afford to add to their bills. Mosaic’s drive to offer a connection to a smarter grid to low-income people was lived out through our first installations.
After this initial round of installations and more than a year of seeing the result of WHEN’s performance, Interfaith invited Mosaic to connect 23 additional water heaters in the Spring of 2016.
